“Sacha has done a wonderful job with tutoring my autistic son. He can be tricky or even resistant to the sessions and Sacha's patient approach, ability to adapt to his needs and overall success with him have been exceptional. I highly recommend her.”

“My daughter has a developmental disability and was well below grade level in her literacy skills. She started tutoring sessions with Sacha in August 2023 and we have seen such an improvement in her skills and also her attitude towards reading. As her abilities have improved, so has her confidence and willingness to read.I highly recommend Sacha!”

“Sacha is a phenomenal teacher :) She has taught my 7 year old weekly for almost a year. They've build a great relationship. She works really hard to adapt to his learning preferences and help him gradually build his reading skills. A year ago, he was having a very hard time learning to read and, in general, he's often resistant to learning through direct lessons (he's autistic with a PDA profile). With Sacha's help, he's come a long, long ways - for example, as of a couple months ago, he can read sentences and early reader books (like Elephant & Piggie). He's also come to have confidence in his growing reading abilities, so he's now willing and happy to participate in reading learning groups at school. Strong, strong recommendation for Sacha (and I rarely post reviews for anything).”

“We’ve been so fortunate to have Sacha as my son’s tutor. She has been absolutely amazing, incredibly patient, kind, and consistent. My son can sometimes get easily frustrated, but Sacha has the perfect temperament for him. She explains things clearly, takes the time to make sure he truly understands, and always creates a calm, positive learning environment. The games she uses to help him read are super engaging and keep his attention the whole time, he actually looks forward to their sessions! I’ve seen such a wonderful difference in his confidence and attitude toward learning. We couldn’t ask for a better tutor and are so grateful for all the support and encouragement Sacha has given him."

“Sacha has been working with my daughter for 3 months now. My daughter is twice exceptional - Gifted, orthographic processing disability and ADHD. She loves Sacha, and there is no struggle getting her to do her sessions (which is not the case with everything). I have also been very impressed with the communication not just to myself, but also to my daughters school, Sacha does an excellent job keeping the LRC and teachers up to date on what they are working on."

“My 9 year old dyslexic grand-daughter looks forward to her lessons with Sacha. Sacha is a very professional educator with the ability to speak to children at their level, using intelligent, fun and engaging strategies that enable the child to progress happily and love what they are doing. Thank you, Sacha! We value your encouragement, reliability, adaptability and punctuality. Highly recommend.”

“Our kid has been working with Sacha for two and a half years and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She basically taught him how to read. Now his school teachers email her about his homework and she helps him with it. She's great, part of our team. Thank you, Sacha for all you do for our boy. <3.”

“We highly recommend Sacha as an Orton-Gillingham tutor. My son has diverse learning needs, and Sacha has been absolutely wonderful in supporting him. She is professional, patient, extremely accommodating, flexible, and kind.
Sacha makes each session fun and engaging, using a wide variety of activities that keep my son motivated and excited to learn. He genuinely looks forward to his sessions and enjoys all the diverse activities she plans.
Since working with Sacha, we have seen a noticeable improvement in his reading skills, and most importantly, he now enjoys reading. We are so grateful for the positive impact she has had on his confidence and learning journey.”— Debbie.

As a South African-born literacy specialist and Orton Gillingham practitioner, I work with students who need clear, personalized support in reading, spelling, and writing. Drawing on the Science of Reading and Structured Word Inquiry, I use curiosity-driven, gamified lessons that keep students engaged and confident, rather than overwhelmed by rigid, directive teaching. As both an educator and a mom, I bring warmth, creativity, and care to every session, creating a space where your child feels safe, capable, and motivated to grow.
